The differentiating feature of Update Controls is that it automatically discovers dependencies of the view model upon the data model. You can implement complex logic on the view model that brings together multiple data model properties. You can even query the data model with Linq. Update Controls will fire PropertyChanged events from the view model when any of the data model properties chages. And it even works with Silverlight and Winforms.</description>
